Anger
Anger is a natural human emotion and an instinctive response to threats. Anger is protective in nature and necessary for our survival. Anger can present as an issue when someone has trouble controlling it, causing you to do or say things you regret later. In a controlled manner, anger can be helpful for us to make positive changes in our life however when anger is intense, it can cause short term or longer-term harm in our life.
Cause of anger
Many things can trigger anger including stress, family problems and financial stress. It can also be caused by an underlying disorder such as substance abuse or depression. Often, poor communication and misunderstanding can also trigger anger. Sometimes, there are no clear triggers of anger however they stem from underlying feelings such as grief, shame, frustration or feeling of inadequacy
